From I-25 and Albuquerque take Exit 83. Follow signs for Elephant Butte Lake State Park (Hwy 195). Go east 3 miles to Hawthorne Road (just past Bank of the Southwest). Turn left, go to first street (Roadrunner Circle) – go left…turn into park in 3rd drive way or Cardinal Court.
From I-25 Exit 79..ElPaso and Las Cruces..Go past McDonalds and turn left on 181 towards State Park, then veer right onto 171 until you come to the t-intersection of 171 and 195. You will be looking at the Bank of the Southwest. To the right of bank is Hawthorn Drive; turn onto Hawthorn, go one block, then one block to the left and turn on Cardinal Court or 3rd driveway to enter the park.
